The Federal Revenue Allocation Monitoring Authority confirmed today, Saturday, that the flow of funds in the Iraqi treasury is subject to continuous monitoring and supervision, starting from their allocation to the stages of disbursement and utilization. The head of the authority, Susan Abdullah, stated in a statement followed by the news agency that the authority plays a role of "early warning against corruption" by monitoring allocations and overseeing the funding provided by the Ministry of Finance to ministries and provinces, in addition to tracking the expenditures of funds and verifying sources of federal revenues. Abdullah clarified that the authority has identified several corruption files and referred them to the competent bodies, including the Integrity Commission, the judiciary, and the Board of Supreme Audit. She emphasized that the authority's work does not conflict with the tasks of the Board of Supreme Audit, but rather comes within the framework of integration among oversight institutions, confirming that the authority monitors funds before they are disbursed and also oversees their usage after disbursement.
