The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, discussed today, Sunday, in the capital Baghdad, with the Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais al-Khazali, the latest developments in the political and security situation in the country and the current challenges.
The media office of the presidency stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Justice Khalid Shwani, emphasized the importance of reinforcing political and security stability and enhancing the work of state institutions to meet the requirements of the upcoming phase.
Both parties stressed the necessity of supporting the government and expediting the completion of the ministerial cabinet formation, enabling it to implement its program, improve the level of services, reinforce security, and protect the supreme national interests.
