The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities announced today, Saturday, the continuation of work on the establishment of one thousand free housing units and the development of infrastructure for ten thousand housing plots in the city of Nahrawan, while confirming the prioritization of starting the implementation of the residential complexes and the lands allocated for the state's free share within the projects of new residential cities.
The ministry's spokesperson, Nabil Al-Saffar, stated in a press interview seen by "Video News Agency" that "the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities, through the Authority for the Implementation of New Residential Cities, one of its formations, continues to follow up on the implementation of several new residential cities."
He added that "the ministry continues the work related to the establishment of one thousand housing units representing a free share for the state in the city of Nahrawan, in addition to infrastructure development work for ten thousand housing plots there, as part of the new partnership agreements concluded with investors and developers to provide essential services, including water, sewage, and electricity."
Al-Saffar indicated that "the authority continues its meetings with the executing companies for the new residential cities in Baghdad and Nineveh, in order to accelerate the work and overcome obstacles," stressing "the prioritization of starting the implementation of the state's free shares, which amount to twenty-five percent of the serviced plots in the Al-Jawahiri city in Baghdad, fifteen percent of the housing units in Al-Ghazlani city in Mosul, and ten percent of the housing units in Al-Ward city in Baghdad."
He pointed out that "these efforts come as part of government support for deserving groups to obtain serviced plots of land within the one million residential plot initiative, which contributes to addressing the housing crisis."
