The Houston Police announced the arrest of five individuals, including a family of three and two other men, on charges of organized crime and theft of over 12 luxury cars.

The police stated in a statement reviewed by "Video News Agency" that four defendants aged over 18 participated in the organized crime, namely: Diyaa Thabet Abd (41 years old), Iman Auda Al-Saadi (35 years old), who reside in the Katy area and hold Iraqi nationality, Saif Al-Din Al-Jubouri (30 years old), and Matthew Gonzalez (29 years old).

According to the statement, Diyaa and Iman are a couple, and their 17-year-old son participated in the gang and was charged with the same offense.

The couple was released on bail of $100,000 each, and Gonzalez was released on $50,000 bail.

The police clarified that they managed to arrest the group in a special operation and recovered 15 luxury cars valued at approximately $3 million, noting that the gang was active from August 2025 to September 2026.

The group's method of operation involved hacking car transport orders or impersonating vehicle transporters to send them to different locations, then transporting the cars to ports for shipping abroad.

It was noted that a 2025 Mercedes GLE63, valued at over $266,000, was supposed to be delivered to Florida but was rerouted by the transport driver to another location in Houston.

It later emerged that Iman and her 17-year-old son paid the transport fee and took the car.

After the arrest, Gonzalez admitted that he had worked with Diyaa and Al-Jubouri for several months, stating that Diyaa disabled vehicle tracking systems and arranged for them to be sent to Dubai.

He added: "I visited Iman's company to get money, and once Diyaa's 17-year-old son directly paid me for stealing a car for them."

The police did not disclose the name of the 17-year-old defendant, nor did court documents confirm whether Al-Jubouri had been arrested.
