The Prime Minister, Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi, discussed today, Sunday, with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, the bilateral relations and ways to elevate them to broader levels of cooperation and partnership.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the meeting reviewed the positive results that emerged from Al-Zaydi's visit and his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, which included the signing of several memoranda of understanding and agreements in the fields of economy, development, energy, water, transportation, and trade, achieving mutual interests and supporting opportunities for development and prosperity in the region.
Both parties emphasized, according to the statement, the necessity of continuing coordination and consultation on common issues, especially in light of the challenges and current circumstances the region is going through, and working to support dialogues and diplomatic paths to protect regional and international security and stability.
