The lens of the Video News Agency highlighted today, Thursday, the distinctive participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Baghdad International Book Fair, showcasing the most prominent titles, intellectual publications, and precious copies of the Quran that attracted the attention of visitors.
Razi Amiri, the representative of the Iranian Book House in Tehran, praised the exceptional organizational level of the Baghdad International Book Fair, confirming that the fair witnessed a remarkable presence of global and local publishing houses from various countries, including Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iran.
Amiri told the news video agency that the most important aspect of participation from organizations and publishing houses is the warm reception and the wide public turnout from various age groups, including children, adults, women, and men, who were keen to attend, explore, and enjoy the intellectual and cultural exhibits.
Amiri reviewed the list of best-selling and most in-demand books at the Iranian Book House booth, noting the large public reception for precious and rare copies of the Quran and manuscripts brought from Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad, in addition to intellectual, philosophical, literary, jurisprudential, and foundational books affiliated with the religious seminaries and intellectual institutions.
The Book House representative explained that the exhibits also included publications in political literature, history, and geography of tourist attractions in Iran, alongside a large collection of children’s stories and novels that were widely embraced by families and children participating in the fair's activities.
For her part, Iranian social activist Zeinab Shariatmadari expressed her astonishment and great admiration for the size of participation and the widespread interest of the new generation in reading and acquiring books during the fair.
Shariatmadari told the news video agency that the interaction of young readers demonstrated a significant passion for books that she had not expected, affirming her commitment to participate again in future rounds and exhibitions.
Shariatmadari showcased the most requested and popular publications, noting that the book "The Summer Tale" topped sales as the latest publication, along with the book "Indeed, with Patience, There is Victory," which contains the memoirs of martyr Ali Khamenei written in his own hand in Arabic, as well as books that dealt with the theory of resistance, the theory of waiting, understanding the enemy, and revolutionary issues.
The activist mentioned the presentation of a special publication that compiles the words of martyr Ali Khamenei on the thinker and intellectual influence of martyr Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, expressing her pride in presenting this intellectual content to the audience and readers.
