The Gulbenkian Hall hosted the exhibition "Central Nature," organized by the Public Arts Department, featuring a selection of visual artists and attended by a number of specialists and art enthusiasts.
The exhibition included 61 artworks by 52 artists, focusing on themes of the environment and Iraqi nature, evoking the impact of place on memory by capturing the features of beauty and the diversity of local environmental elements.
The participating works created an artistic and intellectual space to evoke the aesthetic and philosophical dimensions of nature, through the use of color and its visual, sensory, and psychological effects, within artistic approaches that reflect on place and its relationship with memory and identity.
The topics of the exhibition varied between palm trees, orchards, marshes, and other elements of the Iraqi environment, presenting artistic scenes that approach the details of life and nature, conveying their aesthetics from the canvas to the vastness of the Iraqi landscape.
