Partnership with "BP" to develop Kirkuk fields

Oil Minister Bassem Muhammad Khudair confirmed today, Friday, that the development of the Kirkuk oil fields in partnership with the British Petroleum (BP) company enhances confidence in the investment environment in Iraq and affirms its ability to attract global companies.
Khudair said in a statement received by the News Video Agency that working with BP to develop the four Kirkuk fields sends a message that the investment environment in Iraq is safe, stable, and attractive for international investments.
He added that the partnership represents an important step towards developing oil fields and enhancing cooperation with specialized global companies, which contributes to supporting the Iraqi oil sector, raising production efficiency, and benefiting from modern expertise and technologies.
He pointed out that the development of the oil fields comes as part of the Ministry of Oil's orientations aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the oil sector and developing its infrastructure, which supports the national economy and enhances Iraq's position in the global energy market.
