Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi confirmed today, Thursday, the commencement of rapid steps in hard work and progress in implementing the government's priorities and its program following the completion of the ministerial formation and the filling of vacant portfolios.
Al-Zaydi stated, according to a statement from his media office received by the News Video Agency, that the government has worked diligently, patiently, and resolutely over the past five months amidst highly complex circumstances both domestically and internationally, noting that the region's war has imposed exceptional economic challenges on Iraq, in addition to security challenges that require the highest levels of responsibility and vigilance.
He added that the government has proceeded with confidence and determination in executing its ministerial program approved by the House of Representatives, addressing highly complicated issues and confronting corruption with unwavering resolve, and has taken historic steps to enhance the country's sovereignty and independence of its decision, culminating in the termination of the military presence of the international coalition in Iraq.
He continued that the completion of the ministerial formation and the appointment of deputies to the Prime Minister represent support for the government's ability to manage national issues and momentum for coordinating efforts and implementing the commitments and programs expected by the people, emphasizing the government's awareness of the size of the large and complex files and the necessity of multiplying efforts to translate plans into tangible results that citizens can feel in their daily lives.
Al-Zaydi affirmed his gratitude and appreciation to the House of Representatives and political forces for their contributions to completing the formation of the government, calling on the deputies to the Prime Minister and the ministers who have gained the parliament's confidence to assume their responsibilities with the highest levels of commitment, competence, and integrity, and to work in the spirit of teamwork to serve citizens and achieve national goals.
