The Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, denied today, Saturday, any current plans for a meeting with American officials, confirming that what is being circulated in this regard is nothing but media speculation.

Araqchi stated in an interview reviewed by the News Video Agency that Iran does not see a necessity, under the current circumstances, to hold a meeting with the American side, noting that Iran's demands are clear and consultations about them are ongoing through intermediaries.

He added that the Qatari and Pakistani mediators are continuing their consultations regarding Iran's demands, indicating that the message received from Vance has been reviewed carefully, and it was a central topic of discussion in high-level meetings.

He continued that if Washington's goal with Vance's message is to stir up discord, that would be considered another mistake added to the previous mistakes of the United States.

He clarified that the attempt by the American side to open a channel for dialogue and reach a broader understanding is viewed as a positive step.

He confirmed that once Washington agrees to Iran's demands, a decision will be made regarding whether negotiations will be held directly or indirectly.
