The Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council and chief negotiator, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the results of the U.S. midterm elections reflect, as he put it, the American people's rejection of war, following the Democrats' victory over the Republicans.
Qalibaf stated in a post on the platform «X» that «the American people's vote is a 'no to war' after the Democrats defeated the Republicans in the midterm elections.»
He added that the Americans have said «no to war,» whether out of conviction or due to the cost of living, affirming Tehran's support for this message.
Qalibaf's remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran, and the exchange of positions regarding political and security issues in the region.
