Deputy: Hosting security leaders in Parliament is prohibited unless approved by Al-Zaydi.

A member of the House of Representatives from Dhi Qar province, Abdullah Al-Khikani, revealed on Sunday the issuance of a decision to ban the hosting of any security official without the approval of the Prime Minister, indicating that this directive undermines the work of the parliament.

Al-Khikani stated in a press interview that he spoke to the "News Video Agency," that "the parliament failed to host the Chief of Police of Dhi Qar Province, Major General Najah Al-Abadi, due to a letter from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that includes not hosting any security leaders in the House of Representatives without obtaining the approval of the Prime Minister."

He added that "this decision undermines the work of the legislative authority in monitoring the violations occurring in those security sites," noting that "we have recorded in the file we sent to the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee violations caused by the current police chief, which led to the accidental death of 4 people, due to the pressures he exerts on the officers in their work."
