The Qatari Al Sadd football team arrived in Basra today, Sunday, in preparation for the match against Iran's Esteghlal club at the Basra International Stadium tomorrow, Monday, kicking off the AFC Champions League for elite football.
Al Sadd will be the guest of Esteghlal, who uses the Basra stadium as their home ground after receiving official approvals from the Asian Football Confederation.
Badr Nasser, the president of the sub-football federation in Basra, said in a press interview that I have completed all necessary preparations to host the Qatari delegation perfectly, starting from hotels and transportation to the readiness of training pitches and the match stadium, in order to ensure the success of the match.
The Basra International Stadium will host tomorrow, Monday, the highly anticipated clash between Esteghlal and their guest Al Sadd, as they begin their journey in the AFC Champions League for elite.
The Al Sadd delegation received a special welcome from the Iraqi Football Federation in Basra, represented by the president of the Iraqi Football Federation in Basra, Badr Nasser Al-Badr, Vice President Amjad Mohammed Ali, the head of the security committee in Basra, Aqeel Al-Fraiji, and the director of youth and sports, Sadiq Al-Kinani.
