The Minister of Finance receives the American Chargé d'Affaires to discuss joint economic and financial cooperation.

Iraqi Finance Minister Faleh Sari discussed today, Saturday, with the American chargé d'affaires in Iraq, Stephen Fagin, and his accompanying delegation, ways to enhance economic and financial cooperation between the two countries.

The Ministry of Finance stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that Iraq's move in its relations with various countries is based on the country's supreme interests, noting the Iraqi government's commitment to maintaining a balanced relationship with the United States based on mutual interests.

Sari urged American companies operating in the oil and energy sectors to expedite the implementation of their projects in Iraq to enhance foreign investments and support vital sectors.

 For his part, the American chargé d'affaires confirmed the success of the Iraqi government's delegation's visit to Washington last July, emphasizing the importance of building on its results to enhance joint cooperation pathways.
