The Iranian news agency Fars reported today, Saturday, that Iranian oil sales in September exceeded $3 billion.

The agency stated in a press interview that "while foreign media reports indicate a halt in Iranian oil exports due to sanctions, Iranian oil sales in September broke the monthly sales record of the past two years."

It added that "Iranian oil sales in September of this year exceeded three billion dollars, which is the highest monthly figure in the past two years."

It pointed out that "China is the largest importer of Iranian oil, while Iran is the largest exporter of seaborne oil to China."

The agency denied, citing sources, that Iranian oil tankers have stopped due to sanctions, asserting that these claims "are unfounded and fall within the framework of the psychological and media war waged by some Western countries against Iran."

According to statistics from the Planning Organization, Iranian oil revenues have exceeded the budget ceiling so far, allowing the government the freedom to import goods and support national projects.
