The Military Intelligence Directorate announced today, Sunday, the arrest of (23) individuals wanted by the judiciary under various legal provisions, during intelligence and security operations carried out in six governorates.
The directorate stated in a statement received by the "Video News Agency" that its units were able to identify the locations of the wanted individuals and arrest them in the governorates of Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, Kirkuk, Maysan, and Diyala, based on accurate intelligence information and field follow-ups.
It added that the arrests were executed by units of the intelligence and security departments affiliated with divisions (1, 7, 8, 14, 16, 17, 22, 23), as part of ongoing efforts to pursue those wanted by the judiciary and to enhance security and stability.
The directorate confirmed that the wanted individuals were handed over to the competent authorities properly, to take legal action against them according to the legal provisions under which they were stopped.
