The parliamentary finance committee confirmed today, Sunday, its intention to stabilize all contract and temporary employees within the 2027 budget, clarifying that the parliament will provide the financial cover to stabilize them within the budget.
Committee Chairman, Adi Awad, said in a press conference held at the House of Representatives, with the participation of committee deputies, which was followed by "The News Video Agency," that "meetings with Finance Minister Faleh Sari and officials from ministries and the Financial Supervision Bureau have led to recording some observations and reaching the necessity of stabilizing the category of contract and temporary employees in the general budget for 2027."
He added that "the parliament is determined to stabilize all contract and temporary employees and cancel any time period," explaining that "there is a proposal to include those with two or three years of service in the stabilization."
He indicated that "the finance committee insisted that stabilization be comprehensive for all contract and temporary employees in all sectors, including both profitable and loss-making companies, and to conduct the necessary transfers."
He continued: "We in the House of Representatives are interested in making the transfer, and if the budget comes from the government without making the transfer, we will provide the financial cover for the necessary transfers."
