Iraqi customs achieve revenues of more than 442 billion dinars during September 2026
The Iraqi General Authority for Customs announced today, Monday, in a statement received by the News Video Agency, an increase in its financial revenues during September 2026, compared to the same period last year, with an increase exceeding 108 billion dinars.
Financial comparison data showed that total customs revenues amounted to 442 billion, 266 million, 831 thousand, and 97 Iraqi dinars during September 2026, compared to 334 billion, 196 million, 99 thousand, and 859 dinars in September 2025.
According to the data, the value of the increase was 108 billion, 70 million, 731 thousand, and 238 dinars, reflecting a rise in customs revenues of approximately 32.3% year-on-year.
The authority attributed this increase to efforts made to enhance customs performance efficiency, improve collection processes, and continue working on increasing non-oil revenues, which contributes to strengthening the state’s financial resources.
This comes at a time when the Iraqi authorities are moving towards developing customs procedures and expanding reliance on electronic systems, aiming to expedite the completion of transactions and enhance control over border crossings.
