Al-Zaydi conveys the vision of national development for Iraqi capital in Oman.

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi announced today, Monday, that the beginning of next year will witness the laying of the foundation stone for the Development Road extension and the opening of the Grand Faw Port at full capacity, during his meeting with a group of Iraqi businessmen and investors representing various economic and commercial sectors in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that Al-Zaydi met in the Jordanian capital Amman with a group of Iraqi businessmen and investors representing various economic and commercial sectors.

Al-Zaydi reviewed a number of policies and measures taken by the Iraqi government to enhance the investment climate and attract capital to contribute to national development, emphasizing that Iraq has made significant progress in preparing opportunities to attract more Arab and foreign investments by simplifying procedures and addressing investors' issues while safeguarding their rights based on the Investment Law.

He pointed out that Iraq has many investment opportunities and that the government has granted the private sector many privileges, including customs exemptions to contribute to the implementation of development projects and provide job opportunities for youth.

Al-Zaydi confirmed that the beginning of next year will witness the laying of the foundation stone for the Development Road extension, which will include the establishment of industrial cities, in addition to the opening of the Grand Faw Port at full capacity for commercial transport, making Iraq a point of connection between the east and west and one of the most important trade corridors in the world, noting that he listened to the interventions and suggestions of businessmen and emphasized the government's keenness to enhance investment facets and provide opportunities in all fields.
