The Al-Karma team managed to achieve a last-minute victory over Duhok with a single goal, in the twelfth round of the Iraqi Stars League.
The match kicked off at 5 PM at the Al-Jawlan Stadium in Anbar Province (the supposed home ground of Al-Karma).
The game witnessed competitiveness and excitement between the two teams from start to finish, with exchanges of attacks and dangerous attempts. However, Al-Karma was the more dangerous side, especially after applying constant pressure on Duhok's goal, trying to snatch the winning goal, while the visitors retreated to their defensive areas to maintain the draw.
As the match seemed headed for a draw, Egyptian player Marwan Hamdy scored a last-minute goal for Al-Karma in the 90+1 minute, capitalizing on his team's continuous pressure, giving his team a precious lead in injury time, amidst the joy of Al-Karma's players and fans.
With this result, Al-Karma reinforced its lead with 27 points, while Duhok's points remained at 15 in tenth place.
