Today, Sunday, the competitions of the seventh round of the Iraqi Premier League continue with four matches, the most prominent of which is the encounter between Naft Maysan and Al-Student, amid fierce competition among teams to gather points and improve their positions in the standings.
Al-Zawraa Stadium will host the match between Al-Kahrabah and Al-Minaa at 6:45 PM, as both teams seek to win and collect three points to bolster their standing in the competition.
At the same time, the François Hariri Stadium in Erbil will host the match between Mosul and Zakho, where the Ninawa Lions hope to regain their balance and compensate for their heavy loss in the last round against Norouz with a score of three goals to none, which kept their tally at eight points.
For its part, Zakho aims to overcome the results of the past rounds and return to the winning track, in an effort to enter the competition strongly.
At 9:00 PM, Naft Maysan will host Al-Student in a match where the home team seeks to achieve their first victory this season, after a series of negative results placed the team in nineteenth place with four points.
In contrast, Al-Student enters the match with high spirits after winning in the last round against Al-Kahrkh with a score of three goals to two, and hopes to continue his revival and gather new points, having collected six points from six matches.
At the same time, Al-Kahrkh meets its guest Duhok at Captain Sharar Haider Stadium, in a match where the bottom-placed team aims to secure its first win and save its position in the standings.
Al-Kahrkh faces a difficult task against Duhok, which has a mix of local and professional players, but the hosts hope to capitalize on the home advantage and achieve a positive result, given the significant importance of the three points at this stage of the league competition.
