The Parliamentary Finance Committee: New job positions are included in the 2027 budget.

 
 Baghdad - A member of the parliamentary finance committee, Jamal Kujar, revealed today, Sunday, in a statement followed by the Fido news agency, the possibility of including new job positions in Iraq's 2027 budget project, indicating that the opening of government hiring will remain linked to the financial and economic situation of the country.
Kujar stated that including and providing new job positions in the draft budget for 2027 is "a likely and plausible matter," but it is directly related to the stability of financial conditions and the level of public revenues of the state.
He explained that improvements in oil prices and increases in non-oil resources may provide the government with greater financial space to open hiring and accommodate graduates and youth, noting that the finance committee and executive authorities are monitoring economic indicators and available liquidity to determine the state's capacity to bear any new employment obligations.
Kujar pointed out that the final decision regarding the launching of hiring will be determined based on developments in energy prices and the expected budget deficit, prior to preparing and approving the budget tables within the parliament.
He emphasized that the priority in the next phase will be to ensure that the budget can cover expenses and new obligations without increasing pressure on the state’s operational budget.
