Iranian rial, triggering successive waves of inflation that have driven the
prices of staples—such as meat and dairy products—to levels that place an
immense burden on ordinary citizens. The repercussions of the blockade extend
beyond food security to the healthcare sector; stringent banking restrictions
and secondary sanctions have disrupted supply chains for vital medications used
to treat chronic illnesses, thereby compounding the suffering of patients and
their families.
Similarly, the
housing and labor markets in major cities like Tehran have faced stifling
