The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, affirmed today, Saturday, that the Palestinian issue forms the core and fundamental ideological and moral basis for the nation, emphasizing that resistance in all its forms is the only way to liberate the land and sanctities and restore rights.
Sheikh Qassem, in a speech delivered on the occasion of the fifty-fifth anniversary of the student conference organized by the "Imami Students Organization" in Pakistan, titled "Martyr Resisting Conference," Followed by Video News Agency, highlighted the importance of emulating the prophetic leadership and establishing the Islamic method authentically and in practice. He clarified that the primary goal of the divine messages is not limited to individual preaching and proselytizing, but extends to building a comprehensive society based on divine values, pointing out that the nation is required to engage in participatory work within society and to establish the sacred Sharia.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah added that the stance on Palestine, Jerusalem, and the sanctities is a stance that is "ideological, religious, and moral, and is non-negotiable, non-transferable, or subject to compromise." He considered that the option of military, cultural, and political resistance represents the approach capable of dismantling the plans of the Israeli occupation and the American support for it.
He pointed out that the field experience has proven the resistance's capability for liberation and steadfastness despite the apparent military imbalance, affirming that resilience and steadfastness prevent the enemy from achieving its goals.
Sheikh Qassem stressed that the nation faces significant challenges manifested in American policies and Israeli practices in the region, noting the steadfastness of the resistance axis and its ability to overcome pressures and aggressions, and he concluded his speech by asserting the inevitability of continuing on this path to protect peoples and restore their usurped rights.
