The leadership of the Rusafa police announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of the gang "Um Abbas the Sorceress," where they confessed to practicing witchcraft and sorcery, such as returning divorced women, writing prayers for guidance, and opening fortunes, using vinegar, salt, and rose water, along with employing a tuk-tuk driver to transport victims and gather supplies for their activities.
The leadership stated in a statement received by the "Video News Agency" that "the Al-Amin police department and Al-Khansaa police center, in cooperation with the ground forces, managed to arrest a specialized group engaged in sorcery, witchcraft, and defrauding citizens in one of the areas of the Rusafa side."
It added that "the operation came after precise field monitoring, where they were found in possession of materials and tools used in these activities, and they have been placed in custody with the necessary legal actions taken against them."
