The Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah called on citizens eligible for Hajj for the upcoming season 1448 AH, today Tuesday, to visit the health and physical fitness examination centers in Baghdad and the provinces, starting from Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The Commission said in a statement received by the "News Video Agency" that, "in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, it has activated the fitness committees in Baghdad and the provinces, and will begin its work to examine pilgrims medically and ensure their physical fitness and mental safety, and enter their health data via the electronic medical form, starting from next Thursday for a full month, including regular holiday days and on Fridays and Saturdays."
It pointed out that "the examination procedures come as part of the early preparations for the Hajj season, and to ensure the availability of health and physical fitness conditions among the eligible, ensuring their ability to perform the rites of Hajj correctly and safely, and to withstand the physical requirements associated with performing the rituals."
The Commission emphasized that "conducting the medical examination is a fundamental step in completing the pilgrim's file," calling on those eligible for Hajj to "not delay the review and adhere to the specified period, and to go to the approved examination centers in their provinces to conduct the required tests and complete their health data."
