Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the security system to prepare for more potential threats after describing the Flydubai incident as very dangerous.

Netanyahu stated in a press release seen by the News Video Agency that the relevant authorities are continuously monitoring to ensure the safety of the passengers on the Flydubai flight, most of whom are Israelis, noting that one pilot stabbed the other and then appeared to try to crash the plane.

For its part, Flydubai Airlines stated in a release seen by the News Video Agency that a scuffle occurred in the cockpit of flight FZ 1073, which was headed from Dubai Airport to Ben Gurion Airport.

It explained that the flight crew successfully secured the aircraft by diverting its course and landing it safely at Tabuk Airport.

It continued that the reasons and motives behind the incident are unknown and are under investigation.
