Mr. Al-Hakim calls for addressing the issue of weapons outside the framework of the state and monopolizing power in the hands of its legitimate institutions.

The head of the Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed today, Wednesday, that national responsibility necessitates a serious resolution to the issue of arms outside the state framework.

Mr. Hakim said in a speech during the Sovereignty Day, which was reviewed by the News Video Agency, that Sovereignty Day represents a bright milestone that we pride ourselves on in Iraq's journey and rich history, emphasizing the independence of the national decision and renewing the commitment to the responsibilities that sovereignty entails towards the present of the homeland and the future of its generations.

He added that he remembers with great respect the role of the religious authority in Najaf al-Ashraf with its sacred fatwa and its prominent role in consolidating the unity of Iraqis, their cohesion, and solidarity.

He continued that the components of sovereignty are complete when the state alone has the authority to enforce the law and when the power is monopolized in the hands of the state and its legitimate institutions.
