Media outlets reported today, Wednesday, new images of the FlyDubai flight coming from Abu Dhabi to Israel.
According to the successive images, the aircraft, which diverted its route to the city of Tabuk in the northern Saudi Arabia, appeared with a broken tail, while media outlets circulated videos showing one of the flight's pilots receiving treatment while wearing an oxygen mask, with stab wounds, according to reports.
Several reports indicate that one of the passengers assisted the crew in controlling a "situation" inside the cockpit, while the aircraft descended vertically from an altitude of 8,000 feet to 3,000 feet within seconds.
The plane was on its way to land at Ben Gurion Airport before it sent out the emergency code (Squawk 7700) and turned off its navigation and tracking signal, then diverted its route to Saudi Arabia for an emergency landing, with more than 180 Israelis on board along with passengers of other nationalities, without confirmation or denial of any attempted hijacking of the flight.
