Diyala police seize a "tanker" loaded with smuggled cigarettes and molasses in Bahraz.

The Diwaniya Police Command announced today, Wednesday, the seizure of a tank truck loaded with smuggled materials and the arrest of its driver in the Bahraz district.

The command stated in a statement received by the "Video News Agency" that "the seizure operation was carried out under the direct supervision of the provincial police commander, Major General Muhammad Kazem Atiyah, based on accurate intelligence information."

It clarified that "a joint security force from the Bahraz police station, in cooperation with the Al-Tahaddi police station and the Khanaqin intelligence office, with support from the Iraqi army, managed to arrest the suspect and seize the tank truck."

The command confirmed that "the seized items included 80 cartons of hookah molasses and 220 cartons of cigarettes, and a proper seizure report was prepared regarding the truck and the materials, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the suspect, who was referred to the relevant authorities."
