The National Investment Commission announced today, Thursday, the suspension of sales operations and the collection of financial amounts for the Al-Hawraa Baghdad Company project, within the Jewel of Baghdad residential city, until the legal status is corrected and the rights of the contracting citizens are ensured.
The Commission stated, in a statement followed by the Fido News Agency, that the decision came in response to citizens' appeals and in the interest of protecting the rights of registrants and enhancing transparency in investment housing projects.
It added that the investment authority in Baghdad Governorate directed the complete suspension of sales operations and the collection of funds from all beneficiaries contracting with the company until the legal situation is addressed and the rights of citizens are ensured in accordance with the law.
In the same context, the Commission decided to launch an electronic platform specifically for inventorying project sales and cataloging contracts, calling on all citizens contracting with Al-Hawraa Baghdad Company and other concerned companies within the project to register via the platform attached to the statement, within a maximum period of 15 days from the announcement date, to allow the relevant authorities to complete auditing and cataloging procedures and take necessary legal actions.
The National Investment Commission confirmed its continued direct monitoring of investment projects and its handling of any violations or infringements that may affect citizens' rights, emphasizing that protecting citizens’ funds and safeguarding their rights is a fundamental priority in its work.
