The Prime Minister Ali Falah Al-Zaydi received today, Thursday, the representative of the American oil company ExxonMobil in the Middle East, Muhammad Al-Amin, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, the Minister of Oil, the Iraqi Ambassador to the United States, and several advisors.
A government statement received by the Video Agency clarified that "cooperation between Iraq and the company was discussed, within the framework of the government's program goals in the economy and energy sectors, to increase Iraq's crude oil production."
Al-Zaydi pointed out that "the government is proceeding with its plans aimed at expanding the Iraqi oil sector in production, export, and refining paths, emphasizing the desire to utilize the best available modern technology and advanced expertise in this field."
He stressed the openness to productive partnerships, the transfer of modern technologies, and attracting foreign investments under the facilities being worked on by the government in the investment sector, which enhances Iraq's position in the global energy market.
