The Najaf al-Ashraf Criminal Court issued a death sentence, by hanging, against a convict for stabbing a person to death.

A source from the court told the news agency that "the death sentence was issued against the convict for killing the victim with a broken (hookah) bottle and causing serious injuries to 3 others, following a quarrel inside a cafe in the Al-Nida neighborhood in the northern part of the province."
