The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Thursday, the arrest of the director of the Rusafa Juvenile Police Station caught red-handed receiving a bribe in exchange for executing an arrest and search warrant against one of the suspects.

The commission stated in a press release received by the News Video Agency that "a team from the Investigation and Control Department in the Baghdad Investigation Directorate managed—after monitoring and surveillance—to set a trap that led to the arrest of the director of the Rusafa Juvenile Police Station, who is an officer with the rank of Colonel, caught red-handed receiving a bribe inside his workplace, in exchange for executing an arrest and search warrant issued against one of the suspects."

It added that "the team prepared a legal seizure report and presented it, along with the suspect, before the judge of the Second Karkh Investigative Court, who decided to detain him in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 160 of 1983."
