Resumption of direct flights to Beijing starting from the 14th of this month.

Iraqi Airways announced today, Thursday, the resumption of direct flights to Beijing starting on November 14th of this year.

The General Director of the company, Mustafa Talib, stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that "Iraqi Airways has announced the resumption of its direct flights to the People's Republic of China, via the route (Baghdad – Basra – Beijing) starting from the fourteenth of November 2026, with two flights weekly, scheduled on Tuesdays and Saturdays for outbound flights and Sundays and Wednesdays for return flights."

Talib confirmed that "this step comes in line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Wahab Al-Husseini, to expand the network of international destinations for the national carrier and to open new air routes of economic and commercial importance, which provides direct travel options for travelers and supports the movement and exchange between Iraq and countries around the world."
