Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq is the only country he visits where he feels at ease, noting that the relations between the two peoples go beyond political frameworks to bonds based on love.
Araghchi, in response to a question about his impression of the Iraqi people's reception of him said: "Iraq is the only country I visit where I feel secure, and I do not feel that I need special protection," adding: "When I hear the Iraqis chant: Ali with you, Ali, I feel a great comfort, and I realize that what exists between us is not just political relations, but love firmly rooted in the hearts of the people."
The Iranian Foreign Minister added that "true victory does not begin in the battlefields, but begins when you win the hearts of the people before the battle starts," emphasizing that "whoever wins the hearts of the Iraqis has achieved a great victory before any confrontation."
