Clinton attacks Trump: "An Olympic champion in lying"

Hillary Clinton accused President Donald Trump on Thursday of misleading Americans about the war in the Middle East, asserting that he is lying about the health of people and the health of American soldiers deployed there.

Clinton's remarks come amid widespread criticism of the transparency of the Trump administration following Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's admission of the death of 18 American military personnel and the injury of over 750 others, after he had previously denied any American fatalities in the conflict.

Reports from The Washington Post revealed that leaders of the Army, Navy, and Air Force warned Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in a written assessment that the war with Iran could not continue for much longer, emphasizing that it could diminish the military's readiness in other areas.

Polls showed Trump's popularity dropping from 40% to 33%, amid 63% of Americans opposing the continuation of armed conflict in the region.
