The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, confirmed today, Monday, that the blockade imposed on Yemen is an unjust blockade and that it is not acceptable to ask the Yemenis who are under maritime siege to be guardians of international navigation.

Baghaei said in his weekly press conference in response to a question about the accusations of Iranian interference in Yemen's affairs that Iran's explicit expression of its position should not be interpreted as interference in this matter. He added: The Yemenis decide for themselves and by themselves. The Ansar Allah movement is an independent Yemeni party, and they make their decisions based on their interests and benefits, but you cannot analyze the current developments and express opinions on them without considering the background of the issue. He continued: There has been an unjust blockade on Yemen, and the Yemenis have made many efforts to achieve their rights and dignity, but their demands have not been met. Baghaei also mentioned that Yemenis have faced numerous attacks from America and the Zionist entity during these three years. The principled position of Yemenis regarding the genocide in Palestine and Israel's pursuit of dominance over Lebanon, Syria, and others has demonstrated that Yemenis are free people, and that issues of the Islamic community and humanitarian issues concern them.

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated: The maritime security of all must be respected, and everyone should benefit from it. You cannot impose a maritime blockade on a country and unilaterally want to be the guardian and overseer of maritime navigation.
