Iraq ranked seventh among the largest markets for Turkish exports during the first seven months of 2026, with exports valued at approximately 6.08 billion dollars, according to the latest data from the Turkish Statistical Institute.
The data showed that the value of Turkish exports to Iraq decreased by 7.8% compared to the same period last year, when it reached approximately 6.59 billion dollars.
Germany topped the list of countries importing from Turkey during the same period, with exports amounting to 13.29 billion dollars, followed by the United States with 10.16 billion dollars, then the United Kingdom with 9.43 billion dollars, Italy with 8.35 billion dollars, France with 6.64 billion dollars, and Spain with 6.44 billion dollars, while Iraq came in seventh.
In contrast, Turkish exports to Iraq alone during July showed remarkable growth, rising by 15.5% to reach approximately 1.11 billion dollars, compared to 963.4 million dollars in July 2025.
With this increase, Iraq moved up to fourth place among the largest destinations for Turkish exports during July, behind Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
In terms of total foreign trade, Turkish exports during the first seven months of 2026 reached approximately 161.54 billion dollars, recording a growth of 3.4% compared to 156.26 billion dollars in the corresponding period of 2025.
