The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Koulivand, spoke about the ambiguity surrounding the fate of three Iranian pilots and the available evidence regarding their presence in Qatar, urging the Qatari Red Crescent to follow up on the case through its own channels. He stated that Qatari officials had expressed their willingness to provide the necessary assistance to uncover their fate. Koulivand emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Red Crescent Societies of Iran and Qatar, calling for the activation of the Qatari Red Crescent’s role in investigating the situation of the three pilots. The President of the Red Crescent reiterated that the status of the three Iranian pilots remains unclear, despite indications of their presence within Qatari territory, stressing the need for the Qatari Red Crescent to inquire about their situation through its own channels, based on the principles of neutrality that govern the work of Red Crescent and Red Cross societies, contributing to reassuring their families. Koulivand also stressed the necessity of expanding cooperation in the fields of rescue, training, and exchanging experiences, explaining that this cooperation could be further developed by updating the previous memorandum of understanding between the two sides. In this regard, he proposed that both parties review the draft of the new memorandum and finalize it for signing in person. For their part, Qatari Red Crescent officials welcomed the development of bilateral cooperation and promised to make all possible efforts to follow up on the case and provide the necessary information about the status of the Iranian pilots.
