The leaderships of Hezbollah and the Amal Movement held a meeting today, Monday, during which the latest developments and updates on the Lebanese arena were discussed, along with political, economic, and social challenges.
The two leaderships stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that national partnership and coexistence form a fundamental basis for protecting Lebanon, asserting their rejection of any political approach based on exclusion or dominance, and calling for keeping differences within their political and constitutional framework.
The statement emphasized that civil peace is a red line and a shared national responsibility, stressing the necessity for the state to fully assume its responsibilities by activating its institutions and addressing living and economic crises.
The statement further noted that reconstruction, compensating the affected, and ensuring the return of residents to their villages are priorities that require expediting their completion, urging all political forces to act with a high sense of national responsibility and to avoid narrow calculations to overcome the current stage.
