The artistic and musical circles are eagerly anticipating the release of a new musical work in the coming days, bringing together the voice of Iraqi artist Kazem Al Saher and the words of the late Egyptian poet Mursey Jamil Aziz, in a collaboration that reintroduces one of the great poet's poems with a contemporary musical vision.
In recent days, recording of the poem in Al Saher's voice took place in Cairo's studios, in the presence of Major General Magdy Mursey Jamil Aziz, the son of the late poet, along with several friends, media figures, and musicians.
The project came after a desire expressed by the late poet's family months ago for Al Saher to present the poem, which was welcomed by the artist who expressed his happiness with this collaboration, affirming that presenting a text by a poet of Mursey Jamil Aziz's caliber represents both an artistic appreciation and a musical responsibility at the same time.
After reaching an agreement with the poet's family, Al Saher began working on the poem and composing it, in an experience he described as representing a new musical challenge, especially since the text belongs to a poet who left a prominent legacy in the history of Arabic song.
Al Saher emphasized his commitment to presenting distinguished lyrical texts, whether they are newly written or from previous years, pointing out that his selection criterion is linked to the work's ability to maintain its spirit and connect with contemporary audiences.
Al Saher described the poem as one of the masterpieces of Mursey Jamil Aziz that he proudly presents to the Arab audience, in a step that combines the legacy of one of the foremost poets of Arabic song with a new musical experience through Al Saher's voice and melodies.
