Al-Zaydi discusses with the CEO of ExxonMobil the development of fields and increasing Iraqi oil production.

The Prime Minister, Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi, discussed with the CEO of ExxonMobil, Darren W. Woods, and his accompanying delegation the expansion of the partnership in the fields of exploration and the development of oil fields operating within Iraq.

The media office of Al-Zaydi stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that "the Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi met in New York after midnight last Tuesday, Baghdad time, with the CEO of ExxonMobil Mr. Darren W. Woods and his accompanying delegation."

During the meeting, they discussed "the prospects for cooperation and partnership with ExxonMobil in the fields of oil exploration and the development of operating fields, which contributes to enhancing production and the optimal investment of oil wealth."

The Prime Minister emphasized "the importance of expanding the partnership with major global companies and benefiting from their expertise and modern technologies in developing the oil sector, in light of Iraq's direction towards increasing its production capacities and enhancing investment efficiency in its natural resources."
