The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Tuesday, the apprehension and detention of 31 suspects from the Al-Maha company in Kirkuk province, following violations and corruption cases related to the marketing of wheat.
The Commission stated that the investigations and monitoring conducted by a team from the Kirkuk Investigation Office revealed the marketing of thousands of tons of wheat within a few hours in an improper manner, as the quantities were recorded in the names of three citizens, one of whom is deceased, despite not having agricultural plans.
It added that the investigations resulted in identifying the culpability of 31 suspects from the Al-Maha company, including former managers, as well as employees from the cooperative agricultural bank in the province.
The Commission clarified that the suspects are facing legal actions due to their roles in the disbursement of the wheat marketing funds, noting that arrest orders have been executed against 10 suspects who have been detained pending investigation.
It confirmed that the competent authorities continue to follow up on the execution of the remaining judicial orders issued against the other suspects.
