The Ministry of Education has set the regulations for student transfers for the academic year 2026–2027.

The Ministry announced today, Tuesday, in a statement received by the Video News Agency, the regulations for student transfers for the academic year 2026–2027, and directed the general directorates of education in all governorates to work according to them and the applicable powers and instructions.

She added that "the most important regulations included the prohibition of transferring students in the third intermediate and sixth preparatory grades from morning schools to evening ones, and the organization of transferring evening students to the governorates of Kirkuk, Anbar, and Salah al-Din, and restricted to the residents of those governorates exclusively."

He continued that "the ministry has set the schedules for transferring students during the academic year, and required the approval of the Ministry's Undersecretary for Technical Affairs in cases of transfer between the schools for the distinguished students, and from the distinguished schools to other schools, with a prohibition on transferring fifth and sixth scientific students in distinguished schools and Baghdad College secondary schools to private schools." The main regulations included the prohibition of transferring third intermediate and sixth preparatory students from morning schools to evening ones, and the organization of transferring evening students to the governorates of Kirkuk, Anbar, and Salah al-Din, restricted to residents of those governorates exclusively.

Also, the ministry specified the schedules for transferring students during the academic year, and required the approval of the Ministry's Undersecretary for Technical Affairs in cases of transfer between the schools for the distinguished students and from the distinguished schools to other schools, with a prohibition against transferring fifth and sixth scientific students from distinguished schools and Baghdad College secondary schools to private schools.

The regulations included organizing the transfer between government and private schools, as well as the transfer between the Kurdistan Region and the directorates of education, after completing the official requirements and verifying the documents and the student's situation.
