The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, emphasized today, Thursday, the importance of continuing the dialogue between political forces and coordinating positions to serve the national interest and contribute to solidifying political stability in the country.
The media office of the presidency mentioned in a statement received by the News Video agency that Amidi received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad a delegation from the Popular Bloc headed by Mezar Al-Sufi Al-Shammari, with the presence of the head of the Kurdish National Union parliamentary bloc, Harem Kamal Agha.
The statement added that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the general situation in the country and the developments in the parliamentary scene, as well as the importance of enhancing understanding between political forces regarding the proposed files.
The President pointed out the importance of the legislative and oversight role of the House of Representatives, and the necessity of working in a spirit of responsibility to bring perspectives closer together and address issues concerning citizens and responding to their demands.
For their part, the members of the delegation reviewed several files that the Popular Bloc is monitoring, as well as their vision regarding the development of parliamentary performance and dealing with priority legislations during the next phase.
