The Prime Minister, Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi, called today, Saturday, for the effort to strengthen communication ties between the peoples of the Islamic world, emphasizing the importance of unity and strength in the Islamic position and discourse, and highlighting the true identity of Islam against the threats facing the Islamic nation, foremost of which is the situation in Gaza.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a release received by the Video News Agency that Al-Zaydi welcomed the heads of delegations participating in the 52nd session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meetings being hosted in Baghdad, extending a warm welcome to the guests of Iraq.
He added that the Prime Minister pointed out the human and natural wealth that the Islamic world possesses, owning 70% of the energy and waterways that have not been fully utilized, which necessitates the creation of a platform for the products of the Islamic world according to what each country produces. He emphasized that the security of Islamic countries should be collective and the importance of cooperation in combating drugs that threaten the youth and communities.
Al-Zaydi confirmed the existence of about 400 million unemployed Muslims, which necessitates integration in the workforce and energy security through the comprehensive connection between energy networks, railways, transportation means, and digital communications, achieving integration among industrial zones within the initiative launched by Iraq at the beginning of the meetings.
