The spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued a veiled warning today, Monday, regarding the internet cables extending beneath the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that seven major cables pass through the strait, which are essential for internet and commercial data flows worldwide.

The spokesperson, in a press interview reviewed by the "Video News Agency," stated that "the U.S. knows that it has new goals," referring to the strategic importance of these cables and the potential consequences of targeting them on global communications and data movement.

This statement came after Tehran hinted at the possibility of targeting internet cables, data centers, and artificial intelligence facilities linked to the United States in the region if there were a new attack.

The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, General Mohsen Rezaei, stated in an interview with "Press TV" that the United States has placed valuable technological assets in West Asia, including data centers and artificial intelligence facilities.

He added: "We have not yet included these assets among our targets, but if war breaks out, many of these cables, data centers, artificial intelligence facilities, and several other locations will be destroyed."
