Loi Salah resigns from training Erbil: The management bears the responsibility for the decline in results.

Coach Luay Salah announced his resignation from the coaching staff of the Erbil football team today, Monday, following a loss to Mosul by one goal to none in the tenth round of the Iraqi Premier League.

He also expressed his surprise at the club's management decision to impose penalties and financial deductions on the coaching staff and players due to the decline in results.

Salah stated in a message directed to the president and members of the administrative board of Erbil Club that the decision represents an attempt to hold the coaching staff and players responsible for the decline in results, instead of addressing the administrative issues that he said have affected the stability of the team and its readiness to compete.

He clarified that the technical results of any team are linked to the environment and resources provided by the management, pointing to existing issues over the recent period, most notably the delay in disbursing financial entitlements to players and the coaching staff, the lack of a suitable and well-equipped training pitch for daily practices, as well as the absence of the necessary administrative and technical support for competing in the championship.

He added that these conditions negatively impacted the psychological and mental stability of the team, affirming that holding the coaching staff responsible for circumstances beyond their control and scope of authority led him to submit his official resignation from his coaching duties.
