The spokesperson for the Reconstruction and Development Bloc, Firas Al-Muslimawi, revealed today, Monday, the main topics of the Coordination Framework in its periodic meeting to be held this evening.
Al-Muslimawi stated in a press interview that "the meeting will focus on the candidates for the vacant ministries to complete the government cabinet, especially since there is a prior agreement among the forces of the framework. The framework has become close to finalizing its ministerial candidates, with other blocs required to submit their list of candidates to Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi."
He added that "the other blocs need to present acceptable and non-controversial names for the ministerial positions," indicating that "the meeting will also witness the presentation of the report from the tri-partite committee responsible for managing and organizing arms, regarding its work results and dialogue with armed factions, as well as the latter's position on the government's movements to organize and limit arms to the state."
He continued that "the financial challenges facing the country will be present during the meeting, alongside the security challenges in the region."
Regarding the share of the Reconstruction and Development Bloc in the government cabinet, Al-Muslimawi confirmed, "We still have one ministerial portfolio or the position of Vice President of the Republic, where the forces of the Coordination Framework agreed to activate the positions of the two vice presidents of the republic and the government, with two deputies for each position, and selecting candidates with the experience and competence to manage the assigned task."
